STUPIDITY from OBAMA
It never ceases to amaze me the kind of garbage that comes out of Camp Obama, the summer retreat for spoiled, slick-talking "wanna-bes" and their behind-the-scenes cohorts. I wonder if Obama really is clueless to the fact that his aides are making him look like a bigger clown than he already is? If he is clueless, it points out that his lack of experience and maturity beyond what he displays when he opens his mouth to ridicule his Democratic rival, Hillary Clinton. I'd be really embarassed, if I were him, to act in such a childish and uneducated way. I'd be really embarrassed to be a citizen who casts a vote for him. I'd like to, just for once, have a grown-up in the White House - and Obama doesn't qualify.

DEMOCRATIC STUPIDITY
I've been watching the campaigns unfold now for the last several months now, and a rather disturbing trend is appearing. It is very obvious that the "good old boy's club" is influencing the outcome of the selection for the Democratic candidate for President of the United States. I honestly never thought I'd see the day when the "boys" would assert their influence over others to elect another one of the "boys", rather than choose the most suitable candidate. If Democrats do not select Hillary as our candidtate for President, then I will question the intelligence of our party. Maybe it's time for the process of political parties to cease, and allow the election of our President be open. OBAMA, NO! HILLARY, YES!

Unions are political crooks, and then some!
The people of this country need to wake up and take a good look around. The UNIONS are what's bringing down this country! Why in the heck would a nurses union go on strike, demanding higher wages and better benefits (something they'd realize they already had if they'd just wise up a little), when inside the rooms in that hospital are sick people, afraid, alone, hoping that someone can help them feel better. If the nurses point is to prove that the medical profession cannot exist without their help, well - they've got another thing coming. Non-union employees can be hired to replace you and, despite the propaganda which the unions spew, they are every bit as educated, experienced and dependable as union nurses. And these nurses will be paid adequately, and they will save the lives of those folks the Unions intentionally place in danger by demanding more, more,more... and always more. When is "more" going to be enough? When will they realize that Sound like a wakeup call? I'm just getting started!

POLITICS PISS ME OFF!!!
Okay, now that I've written that little rant... Right here, right now, I'm going to throw my support 100% behind Hillary Clinton as my preferred candidate for the office of President of the United States. And if you don't like it, then simply go to another website that publishes all of the lies, empty words and mistruths for the Barack Obama campaign and for the folks in the Rebublican race. I'm sick of George "nucular warhead" W. Bush and his GOP cronies.

On walking a new road and finding it bumpy...
So I've mentioned time and time again that I don't create a blog entry when I really, really need to. Truth is, I just haven't had the physical energy nor the mental energy to even sit down and approach this task. When fatigue sets in, deep into your very soul and causes every bone and muscle in your body to burn and ache, well... exerting that kind of energy isn't high on the list of priorities. Alas, I am forcing myself to do this one entry, and then go from there.

Motivation - or lack thereof...
It's funny - I keep telling myself I will write in my blog on a regular basis. And during the times that I really, really need to, I don't. What's with that?
Right now it seems as though I have no reason to attempt anything, let alone actually accomplish something. I have no rashionale or reason, it just is. And in case you are wondering, IT IS NOT A RESULT OF DEPRESSION BECAUSE I'M NOT DEPRESSED!

Today (or rather yesterday, as Wednesday ceased to exist nearly two hours ago) is Ash Wednesday - the heralding of the beginning of the Lenten Season, a time for many to reflect and repent. I can remember my 8 years of Catholic School and the season of Lent - and looking back on it now, I laugh hysterically - not because I don't believe in what the true meaning and symbolism of Lent is, but because I sure didn't respect it back in those days...

Imperfection, part 2
After mom was fed her dinner, Ann and I went out to Max & Erma's to have a meal. I think Ann wanted to go to a buffet, but I'm not that much into buffets, and I wasn't in a mood to eat that much. So I got my favorite combo, tortilla soup and a tossed salad. It seemed as good a time as any to bare my soul to Ann, so cautiously, I began bit by bit to pull pieces from my life and share them with her.

Charlie Brown tree, revisited...
Last night at about 11:30pm, Ann and I sat together in mom's den and watched "A Charlie Brown Christmas" together. It didn't take long for the tears to come streaming down my face, and what in years past would have been a fun event, was instead a time of deep sorrow and mourning of a life filled with emptiness and grief. But after the show was over, I went into the front room to gaze at my tree...

It's Christmas Day, and the multicolored lights are glowing on the tree. Outside the day is gray and dreary as it rains softly, removing the remaining snow from our yard. There were many turkeys in the yard, along with a couple of deer in the backyard - one chasing the turkeys and the other lying snuggled up in an indentation in the ground, devoid of snow. It's nice to see the critters. They always seem so happy and full of life, cavorting about and looking especially frisky.
